Cast Representative
Committee Member
This role is not a Committee memberBrief Description
One of two roles (one male, one female) providing liaison between the cast and Committee; and responsibility for cast safety during a show
Knowledge
- Fire, Health & Safety regulations and arrangements relating to the venue
- Familiarity with the society’s Constitution
Responsibilities
- One cast representative to attend auditions to ensure roles are cast fairly
- Attend Committee Meetings and participate in meeting discussions
- Be aware of any cast member with health issues which might be relevant to their safety during any rehearsals or performances (e.g. serious allergies) and ensure this is relayed to the rest of the cast where relevant
- During productions:
- Keep list of attendees in each dressing room in case of emergency evacuation
- Advise cast of emergency evacuation procedures
- In case of an emergency evacuation, ensure all cast members have left the dressing room and liaise with the Fire Marshal
- Be the point of reference for any cast welfare issues
- Organise after-show awards and after-show catering for the cast
